Maracuya - Passion Fruit Frozen
Description
Originating from the subtropical regions of South America, the passion fruit is round or oval, between 4 to 10 cm in diameter, fleshy and juicy. It is covered with a thick (3mm) non-edible rind. The pulp contains many small black seeds. The color of the rind is yellow or purple and the pulp can vary between yellow and intense orange.
Passion fruit has a very intense sweet and sour taste.
Uses: All varieties of passion fruit are eaten raw, in juices or shakes, jellies, or in salads. They can also be used to prepare certain main dishes
