Other Facts

A scientific paper published this month in the journal Cancer Prevention Research suggests that that black raspberries are “highly effective in preventing intestinal tumor development”.  Although the exact mechanisms  of this cancer inhibition were not determined within in this study, it seems likely that some phytochemimcals within black raspberries, perhaps the  polyphenolic compounds, are responsible. Further research in the near future on this topic is likely; however, you do not need to wait to find out the biochemical details to benefit today. Earlier studies have also suggested that black raspberries have anti-cancer properties.
